Laborer/Rock Truck Driver - Waste Connections

About the Job
We are looking for a self motivated, experienced Laborer - Rock Truck Driver to join the team at Cypress Creek Landfill in Tuscaloosa, Alabama . Previous landfill, transfer station, or waste experience would be a huge _plus_ , but willing to train the right candidate.
SCHEDULE:
+ Typically Monday thru Friday from 7 am - 5 pm *subject to change*
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Preform Maintenance around the site and facilities as needed
+ Perform general labor duties around Landfill
+ Assist with landscaping duties
+ Spreading and compacting trash using a compactor
+ Spreading daily cover using a Dozer
+ Excavating soil using a excavator
+ Maintaining haul roads using a grader
+ Hauling soil
+ Work in a fast paced, team environment
+ Follow safe operating practices
+ Learn and use interpersonal skills relating to good customer service
+ Other job related duties as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
+ Experience in a landfill, transfer station, or waste experience preferred.
+ Ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly throughout the day.
+ Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
+ Ability to be self directed as well as work in a team environment.
+ Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.
W ORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
+ Work environment is an outdoor landfill setting. The employee will work near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibrations. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Areas are clean, ventilated, and well lit.
