Landscape Architect

Job Summary:
The Landscape Architect works closely with the Sales Consultant in the design (concept and schematic plans) and production of construction documents (planting, grading, hardscape, construction detailing, dimension control and layout plans). The Landscape Architect is responsible for quality, accuracy, and completeness of studio work.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Landscape Architecture
- AutoCAD: 2 years (Required)
- Microsoft Office: 2 years (Required)
- Plant Material Knowledge: 2 years (Required)
- Landscape Design: 2 years (Required)
- Experience with High-end residential properties (Required)
- Proficient with computer software programs including AutoCAD and MS Office Suite
- Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and Land F(x) experience is a plus
- Must have strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize and work under pressure
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Can communicate effectively in tough situations with both internal and external groups
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently, but should also be able to collaborate in a studio environment
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Managing residential and commercial landscape design team projects
- Communicating and coordinating with sales staff, clientele, and vendors
- Collaborating with the company’s staff in all phases of design, from defining program criteria through exploring concepts and producing installation plans.
- Researching and recommending plants, finishes, fixtures, furnishings and other specifications
- Anticipating and responding to the needs of clientele and contractors on-and off-site throughout project installations
- Working responsibly alongside sales, project managers and fellow designers on meeting client demands
Qualifications and Competencies:
a) Personable, energetic, and professional, with a record of success in client-facing roles
b) Excellent organization, time management and responsiveness to deadlines
c) Strong understanding and application of graphic and landscape design principles
d) Knowledge of horticulture and regionally appropriate plants
e) Proficiency with recent versions of AutoCAD
f) Proficiency with freehand drafting of plan, section/elevation, and perspective views
g) Experience with digital filing and workflow tools
h) Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google productivity applications
Salary Range: $90,000 to $120,000 based on experience
