About the Job
Merrick & Company is seeking an undergraduate or graduate Landscape Architecture student for a paid summer internship for Summer 2025 at our Charlotte, NC office.
The summer internship has a commitment of approximately mid-May through mid-August 2025.
We will be accepting resumes for this opportunity from approximately September – November 2024. Resumes will be reviewed as they are received. Interviews will take place in the Fall/Winter. Offers will be extended in Winter/Spring. Timeframe subject to change.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:The summer internship will provide an undergraduate or graduate student an opportunity to gain technical experience in the field of landscape architecture. The intern will be exposed to a variety of projects for both public and private clients in diverse geographic locations. Project experience will include site planning, detail site design, residential neighborhood design, Government related facilities design, and graphic support of on-going projects.
The position requires collaboration with other disciplines, the ability to interface with clients and contractors, follow schedules and budget commitments, work independently, possess good written and oral communication skills and the ability to problem solve.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:- Must be currently enrolled and entering junior year or higher of undergraduate degree or currently enrolled in graduate school.
- Must be pursuing a landscape architecture degree.
- Requires the ability to work 40 hours per week and arrive at the office punctually each day.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without Sponsorship.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil3D, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D Modeling Software.
