About the Job
Kimley-Horn is seeking an emerging Landscape Architecture Project Manager/Emerging Practice Leader to join our Landscape Archietcure team in West Palm Beach, Florida (FL)! This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities:The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic team environment on a range of projects including higher education, urban design, planning, parks, recreation, and athletic facilities throughout the region and southeast for a wide variety of clients. Project experiences will be diverse as we provide services to both public and private sectors.
- Support our national Landscape Architecture and Land Planning practices by providing site planning, urban and landscape design, graphic and technical expertise, and winning commissions.
- Work in a dynamic team environment collaborating on a range of projects including higher education, multifamily, mixed-use, hospitality and resort, community planning, and streetscape design throughout the region for a wide variety of great clients
- Engage in project management/task management on a variety of public and private sector projects
- Pursue and win client and project wok, as well as write proposals and scope of services
- Act as a leader/mentor and develop younger and cohort staff with goal of facilitating intellectual team growth
- Preparation of Drawing sets, Details and Specifications, 3D modeling and Rendering
- 4+ more years of relevant work experience
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture
- Registered Professional/Certified Landscape Architect (PLA/CLA) license or ability to obtain in 1 year
- Project management experience or desire to manage projects
- Strong AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Lumion, and Microsoft (Word and Excel) skills
- Working knowledge of graphic software programs (Adobe Photoshop, Sketchup, InDesign, Illustrator, GIS/ArcView, and PowerPoint)
- Strong freehand illustration and rendering skills
- Excellent written and oral communication and professional communication skills
- Positive attitude, team oriented, and a strong work ethic
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Possess self-motivated entrepreneurial spirit and dedicated work ethic
- Strong presentation skills and a desire to pursue work, manage clients and a team
- Involvement in professional organizations desired
