About the Role:
As a Landscape Crew Member, you will play an essential role in maintaining our parks, boulevards, open spaces, and rights-of-way. This position involves a variety of tasks, including:
- Landscaping and Mowing: Operating commercial mowers, weed-eaters, and other specialized equipment.
- Tree Work and General Maintenance: Using chainsaws, edgers, and hand tools to ensure that all areas are well-maintained.
- Working with Traffic and Equipment: Ensuring safety while working around active traffic and heavy machinery.
The role requires flexibility in scheduling, as you may be called upon for emergency services, early morning shifts, or work during inclement weather. During snow and ice events, you will be part of the snow and ice removal program, which may involve 12-hour shifts. Additionally, you will participate in an on-call tree rotation to support park operations. This employee must acquire and maintain a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement within 120 days of employment. Women and minorities are encouraged to apply.
