Position: Landscape Maintenance Business Developer (Commercial)
Objective:
The Landscape Maintenance Business Developer is a critical role that prospects for and cultivates new landscape maintenance opportunities. This individual is responsible for generating and maintaining leads to profitably grow the maintenance division, including by cold calling multi-family housing, medical offices, shopping centers, HOAs, CDDs, and office parks.

Responsibilities:
- Business Development:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan that targets a diverse and profitable portfolio of business
- Actively prospect, qualify, present, and close new business with target clients
- Navigate accounts at various levels to create opportunities with target organizations and properties
- Create timely and accurately priced client recommendations, proposals, and contracts that are designed to meet each client’s objectives
- Drive sales process from initial contact through strategy, proposal, presentation, & successful conclusion of new business opportunities
- Exercise creativity and independent judgment in developing and evaluating sales and marketing strategies in selling a broad portfolio of services within a defined market
- Identify needs and client business objectives to develop customer-specific solutions for those needs
- Meet, or exceed established new sales budgets
- Ensure new customer accounts are successfully transitioned to the Operations Team
- Develop and nurture relationships with existing and potential customers
- Take an active role representing the company in professional groups/associations that foster new relationships
- Assist in the creation and refinement of existing and new marketing materials
- Administrative / Other:
- Daily up-keep of customer database and all sales tracking information in specified systems
- Daily up-keep of individual monthly forecast planner
- Responsible for utilizing standard contract procedures, timely signup, filing and billing setup
- Serve as the liaison between the customer and branch team during the client onboarding process
- Miscellaneous projects, as required
Minimum Qualifications & Specific Skills:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in the landscaping industry with a B2B sales background.
- Demonstrated ability to develop new leads and accurately estimate landscaping maintenance proposals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Very strong organizational and planning skills; ability to manage changing priorities and workflow.
- A dedication to learning and improving company standards, procedures, and goals.
- Exercises good judgment and is accountable.
- Willingness to work long hours, including overtime and weekends, and assist with other projects, as required.
- Committed to continual skill enhancement for top-level industry performance.
- Cost-conscious and effective at cost control.
- Good judgment as related to all job functions, eye for detail, strong work ethic, punctual and ethics.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- High school diploma.
- A college degree in a related field is a plus.
- Possess a valid Florida driver’s license.
- Possess pertinent physical requirements commensurate with the job.
