Responsibilities
- Familiar with operating a computer numerical control (CNC) laser cutting machine in a safe, productive manner, ensuring all quality standards are met or exceeded.
- Operates single or multiple CNC laser cutting machine, including loading raw material and ensuring quality by maintaining focal point adjustment, feed rate, power, and other parameters
- Labels/Tag finished parts accurately and delivers them to designated areas
- Monitors laser/Python operations to ensure machine is functioning properly and safely; records machine code errors and communicates performance issues to the supervisor
- Uses inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and tape measure
- Deburrs and cleans parts
- Maintains quality, productivity, and safety records
- Maintains supplies and performs regular preventive maintenance
- Assists other operators with operating, inspecting, and cleaning machines and parts
- Maintains cleanliness of work area
- Employees are responsible to comply with all requirements of Daifuku’s QMS policies and procedures.
- Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Experience operating CNC
- Familiar with operating a computer numerical control (CNC) laser cutting machine in a safe, productive manner, ensuring all quality standards are met or exceeded.
- Licensed forklift truck operator
- Experience minimum 2 year operating crane
- Team-oriented and collaborative
- Ability to work under time constraints and meet deadlines
- Good time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to read a tape measure and micrometer
- Knowledge of CNC laser-cutting operations
