Our client has deployed the world's first global space-based air traffic surveillance system, revolutionizing the aviation industry. This system provides real-time aircraft monitoring across previously uncovered areas, including remote, oceanic, and polar regions, hosted on the Iridium constellation of 66 operational satellites. The system enables safer, more efficient, and environmentally friendly aviation travel, significantly reducing CO2 emissions. Numerous Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) worldwide are already using our client's space-based ADS-B data.
Job Description:
As the LATAM Sales Manager, you will lead sales campaigns with ANSPs and other aviation stakeholders in the region. Our client's surveillance data and derived products offer the first global aircraft surveillance source through high-fidelity services. We seek a passionate, innovative Sales Manager to help modernize Air Traffic Control in the LATAM regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue sales opportunities with regional ANSPs and aviation industries
- Develop and execute sales campaign strategies in coordination with the global Sales Director
- Conduct workshops and educational meetings on our disruptive technology
- Navigate complex governmental organizations and build relationships at all levels
- Collaborate with Product Management and Marketing to align go-to-market strategies and sales campaigns
- Engage with customers during forums and conferences
Required Qualifications:
- 6 years of sales experience in the aviation industry in the LATAM region
- Proven ability to develop deep and trusted customer relationships
- Background in aviation (ANSPs, airlines, aviation industries)
- Willingness to travel within the region up to 50% of the time
- Successful track record of executing sales campaigns
- Should speak Portuguese, Spanish, and English; Portuñol is highly desired
Desired Qualifications:
- Sales experience with APAC with ANSPs, airlines, or other governmental bodies
- Knowledge of key ATM concepts (ATC, ATFM, CNS technologies, etc.)
- Understanding of data value concepts and innovative business models
- Familiarity with procurement processes in the aviation market
- Experience with Salesforce CRM tools

Ramp Up Plan:
- First Month:
- Onboard and train with the Director
- Understand the product portfolio and internal processes
- Learn contract structures and typical sales target profiles
- Develop a plan to establish relationships in various aviation markets
- At 3 Months:
- Create a target list and define an account plan for each opportunity
- Establish initial relationships with main ANSPs and potential customers
- Hold regular internal meetings on market status and sales campaigns
- At 6 Months:
- Define the first-year roadmap and engagement playbook
- Build strong relationships with main ANSPs and potential customers
- Communicate customer requirements and use cases to product management
About the Team:
Small, agile team within the Sales and Customer Affairs department. Regular virtual and in-person team meetings. Geographically diverse team with a central office in McLean, VA.
