About the role
- The Clinical Supervisor’s role is to oversee and manage all clinical treatment aspects of the 16 bed Co-Occurring Enhanced Residential Program in compliance with the requirements of the Department of Public Health’s Bureau of Substance Abuse Services licensing standards. Clinical Supervisor ensures effective implementation of Evidence-Based Practices and Trauma Informed approach; promote cultural competency; facilitate Multi-Disciplinary team meetings; review referrals; oversee admissions and discharges; provide individual and group training, education, and supervision to direct service staff; oversee client service delivery from referrals to aftercare planning; develop staff schedule; perform regular file reviews; provide clinical consultation and individual and group services as needed.
- The Clinical Supervisor develops, implements, and trains on clinical policies and procedures and work with Program Director to track service utilization. The Clinical Supervisor works in collaboration with the Director of Program to ensure MOU’s with other agencies and providers. As part of the Casa Esperanza, Inc. team, the Clinician will provide services in a fully integrated, holistic, and collaborative manner using a team-treatment approach, to ensure the coordination of all client services, both across Casa programs as well as with external providers. This integrated model aims to facilitate clear communication amongst all providers and eliminate duplication of efforts or conflicting approaches to care; detail necessarily follow up and assignments; and ensure-wrap around support services are in place to maximize treatment effectiveness and clinical outcomes.
What you'll do:
Clinical
- Provides crisis intervention counseling, with referrals to ongoing mental health services when needed as well as primary care through our Casa Integrated Care model.
- Facilitates biopsychosocial, treatment plans and safety assessments with patient care.
- Utilizes case conferencing and the program team to coordinate and ensure client treatment plans are effective and appropriate.
- Engages external and internal service providers to better meet clients’ needs
- Provides group treatment using evidence-based practices including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Relapse Prevention, Relational and Psychodynamic therapy, etc., as needed.
- Facilitates in weekly clinical meetings to provide updates and assist in the decision making related to treatment planning and implementation.
- Functions as a resource to the rest of the team on substance use and recovery related issues and assist in the various components of this program.
- Responsible for reviewing referrals to Latinas y Niños program to ensure clients meets ASAM Criteria for level of care 3.5 and documents decisions of admission to program.
- Directly Supervises Clinicians, Care Coordinators and Interns with all appropriate record keeping
- Works with members of Human Resource department on the hiring and onboarding of new clinical team members.
- Works with Program Director and Human Resources team on coaching and progressive discipline.
Administrative:
- Ensures adherence to program treatment philosophies and policies.
- Maintains client and program records in accordance with agency requirements and timelines.
- Develop and oversee Clinical Staff schedule and assure appropriate coverage on unit.
- Facilitate regular quality assurance plans on charts and records along with practical utilization of program policies and procedures
- Ensures group schedule curriculum meets expectations and all appropriate evidence based practices.
- Works with Clinical Operations Director and program leaders to develop forms, practices, and policies relative to standard of care and best practices.
- Completes, manages and reports to Program Director, Chief Clinical Officer and Clinical operations Director findings of a quality assurance chart review monthly/quarterly/ as assigned.
- Assist in utilization management to include a review of referrals for admissions to program and works with Patient Access Team on decision making and coordination of incoming patients.
- Work with billing and revenue cycle to ensure authorizations completed timely and effectively
- Attends all trainings and professional development opportunities.
- Ensures compliance to performance specifications, SAMHSA, and BSAS regulations
- On call responsibilities in rotations with other program leaders
- Provide training and leadership support to other members of the clinical team.
- Must be On Call when required.
Qualifications
- Independent Licensure in state of MA ( LADC 1, LICSW, LMHC, LMFT)
- Experience working with patients in co-occurring environments
- Familiarity in trauma informed, strength based approaches.
- Experience providing individual, group and family counseling sessions
- Experience working as a liaison/advocate with community partners
- Knowledge and practice of evidence based practices: 1-2 years
- Bilingual, Spanish language required
- Supervisory experience: 1-2 years
Schedule
Full Time - 40 Hours (Onsite)
1 Evening Day Shift required: (11am-7pm).
