We currently have an immediate opening for Laundry Staff

Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Executive Housekeeper/Housekeeping Supervisor, this position assists in the processing of soiled linen on a daily basis and maintains the laundry area in a clean and orderly basis.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Essential Functions:

• Sorts linen for rooms, food & beverage, golf, recreation
• Loads soiled linen into washer and washes according to procedures
• Loads dryer and dries clean linen according to standards
• Knows the operating function of the laundry machines
• Removes lint from dryer lint traps once daily
• Runs clean linen though ironer
• Folds towels and other bath linens by hand
• Places folded linen on marked shelves and loads housekeeping buggies for aides
• Ensures certain washers are in use before taking breaks to augment efficiency
• Assists Aides, Room Attendant and Public Area Attendants when needed

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
