The following is a non-exhaustive criteria that relates to the job of a Laundry Staff, and it is consistent with the business needs of the facility. KNOWLEDGE BASE:
- Ability to follow verbal instructions.
- Ability to perform work tasks within the physical demand requirements as outlined below.
- Genuine caring for and interest in elderly and handicapped people.
- Ability to comply with the Patient Bill of Rights and the Employee Responsibilities.
- Ability to comply with Company and departmental safety policies and procedures.
- Wash and dry resident and facility laundry and linen utilizing both household and indust1ial equipment.
- Fold and stack linen and hang clothing .
- Deliver clean linen to resident and facility areas.
- Clean laundry area and equipment.
- Deliver clothes to resident rooms
- Use of chemicals for purpose of laundering.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Sitting: 0 - 1 hours per 8 hour work shift.
Standing: 7 - 8 hours per 8 hour work shift. Alternate to walking on an occasional basis.
Walking: 7 - 8 hours per 8 hour work shift. Alternates to standing on a frequent basis.
Reliability, trustworthiness and consistency with regard to attendance is extremely important to this job. The ability to regularly and timely attend work, cooperative and politely work and deal with others, and to effectively multi-task and work in a stressful environme11t are also essential functions to this job.
