Job Summary
A Security Shift Supervisor at CITGO provides security for the safeguarding of CITGO's assets. The supervisor is responsible for supervising security personnel on shift, maintaining acceptable employee conduct, providing security related training, conducting investigations, and executing and supervising emergency security procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Law Enforcement or related field plus 5 years of law enforcement, security, or related experience, or
- Nine (9) years of law enforcement, security, or related experience in lieu of a degree
- Minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience
- Posses written and oral communication skills; skill to interact with internal and external information providers
- Basic profeciency in Microsoft Word & Excel, and the ability to perform basic computer skills
- Broad working knowledge of federal, state and parish laws relating to security
- General understanding of supervisory practices
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker's Identification Credential (TWIC)
Job Duties
- Supervise security personnel during shift and the manning of mutual aid radios, in-plant radio equipment, and monitoring system
- Conduct security patrols inside of the complex
- Conduct investigations, preserve evidence, interview witnesses and suspects, and create written reports pertaining to investigations on shift
- Conduct briefings of supervisors arriving at emergency scenes and to provide updates on emergency conditions
- Conduct performance reviews
- Establish goals and objectives and provide input to establishing operating budgets
- Plan, coordinate and conduct multiple projects
Job Duties II
- Hourly employees must be qualified as a temporary supervisor according to the Supervisor Development Process (OSDP, MSDP, or LSDP) and meet minimum qualifications listed above.
