Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our outpatient mental health services team. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals, couples, and families while working within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.
Responsibilities
- Individual, Couples, and Family Counseling: Provide evidence-based therapy to clients across the lifespan, including individual, couples, and family therapy. Address a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, grief, and behavioral challenges.
- Client Assessment & Treatment Planning: Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments to evaluate each client’s unique needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and set therapeutic goals aligned with best practices and ethical standards.
- Case Documentation & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential client records, documenting progress, treatment updates, and outcomes according to organizational and legal standards.
- Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate support and intervention for clients in crisis situations. Conduct risk assessments and collaborate with crisis response teams as needed to ensure client safety and well-being.
- Coordination with Multidisciplinary Teams: Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care providers, and other mental health professionals to coordinate comprehensive care and create a supportive treatment environment.
- Community Outreach & Education: Participate in community outreach efforts to build partnerships and raise awareness of mental health services. Lead educational workshops or informational sessions as needed to foster mental health literacy.
- Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education to stay current with best practices, regulatory requirements, and advancements in therapeutic modalities.
- Client Advocacy: Act as an advocate for clients within the healthcare system and community resources, assisting them in accessing the resources they need to achieve therapeutic goals.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC in the state of Wisconsin.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably within outpatient mental health, community mental health, or a similar therapeutic setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Specialty Areas: Additional certifications or training in areas such as trauma, addiction, or play therapy are a plus.
- Experience with Diverse Client Populations: Background in working with children, adolescents, or specific populations (e.g., veterans, LGBTQ+ individuals, individuals with substance use disorders).
- Supervision/Leadership: Experience in providing clinical supervision or leading therapy groups.
