As our full-time Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) Lead Counselor, you will provide oversight and support to the IOP clinical team to ensure compliance with federal, state, and SouthLight organizational guidelines. This role has many elements, including strategic growth of the program, assurance of quality and clinical service provision, direct member care, administrative oversight, and development and management of staff.
You will work closely with Durham service providers, our Intake and Administration team, and other internal programs to best support the clinical team and its members. This role creates an exciting opportunity to build partnerships in the community and collaborate with other organizations in an effort to establish an efficient program. You will lead groups and conduct assessments in an abbreviated capacity to allow time for oversight and support of IOP clinicians - we believe in a well-balanced work flow!

Pay
Starting pay for this role is $52,000 - $56,000 annually, based on licensure and experience.

You will be eligible for medical benefits the first of the month following your first 30 days. We are excited to offer an additional benefit of Clinical Supervision Reimbursement. We will provide a monthly reimbursement of up to $200 (full-time) or $100 (part-time) to each associate level clinician electing this benefit for no more than 2 years, or until licensure is completed, whichever is first. Licensures eligible to receive this benefit include LCSWA, LCMHCA, LMFTA, LPA, LCASA, and CADC.
Job Responsibilities of an Intensive Outpatient Services Lead Counselor
- Provide mentorship, clinical supervision, training, and guidance to the IOP clinical team to ensure best practice, adherence to productivity standards, timely and quality documentation standards
- Provide office and community-based screening, assessments, and evaluations
- Conduct weekly team meeting/case conceptualization
- Manage and track timely submission of authorizations, person-centered plans and comprehensive crisis plans by the IOP clinical team
- Participate in HR and Executive Leadership sponsored "Leadership Development Activities"
Qualifications of an Intensive Outpatient Services Lead Counselor
Education and Experience
- Masters level degree in Counseling or Social Work
- 3+ years of experience working in outpatient community mental health/substance use treatment setting, preferred
- Experience conducting comprehensive clinical assessments
Licensure/Certification
- LCAS or LCAS-A with full LCAS obtained within 90 days of hire
