Lead Advanced Field Service Technician - Honeywell

About the Job
As a Lead Advanced Field Service Technician, you will achieve the development of on-site installation, servicing and repair processes of complex building systems. Specifically, you will install, maintain and troubleshoot the commissioning of Honeywell HVAC and fire control systems for commercial buildings in a regional comprised of Florida, Georgia and Alabama. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives in the processes related to field services. You will be the point of contact to quickly resolve any administrative difficulties relating to delivery and installation of proper equipment. You will promote Honeywell systems and programs and use your expertise and knowledge to implement the industry’s best practices. You will be the main resource for complex regional jobs and problem situations, requiring proactive resolution of any product application issues to meet customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
+ Install and troubleshoot pre-engineered software and hardware, checkout control systems, and start-ups and commission systems according to customer requirements and job specifications. Set up and assign work to balancer as required
+ Perform open systems and 3rd party integrations and collaborate with other vendors of different protocols.
+ Manage scope of work from beginning to end.
+ Coordinate with local Honeywell project managers to understand scope, hardware, software, and graphics needs.
+ Ensure electrical and mechanical sub-contractors follow Honeywell installation drawings and guidelines.
+ Manage on-site equipment delivery and storage.
+ Ensure that the configuration management policy is followed which involves back- up of all changes on an on-going basis during installation and final archiving of Honeywell’s hardware and software on Honeywell Server.
+ Demonstrate system and conduct customer training for all functions
+ Support sales activities by presenting integrated/networked solutions and retro fit opportunities when warranted.
This position requires 60% travel in Florida, Georgia and Alabama with occasional overnight stays.
Relocation resources are available for this role.
YOU MUST HAVE
+ High School diploma or equivalent
+ 8+ years technical experience implementing and deploying software and hardware for building automation systems
+ 5+ years of customer facing experience
+ Valid driver’s license
WE VALUE
+ Associate or bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or engineering
+ Previous experience with technical implementation of HVAC systems, control systems, and mechanical system operations
+ Previous experience with technical implementation of fire alarm system codes, NFPA guidelines and devices used, and functions for fire alarm applications
+ Previous experience with networking and integration and able to work on multiple protocols like BACnet, modbus, OPC, and LON
+ Technical field leadership and customer training
+ Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and diagrams
+ Organizational skills, ability to take initiative and work with limited direction
+ Good written and oral communication
