Lead Assembler - Daifuku

The company is currently seeking a Lead Assembler. 

Position Summary/ Primary Purpose

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Lead Assembler will assemble conveyors/ carousel components according to specific drawings, Unit Build Instructions (UBI), and layout drawings in accordance with the customer/company specifications.

Major Areas of Responsibility

• Assemble conveyors/ carousel components according to specific drawings, Unit Build Instructions (UBI), and layout drawings
• Test conveyor motors and track conveyor belting on queue conveyors
• Palletize/crate conveyors & carousel components in a manner applicable to each job
• Assist in the check-in of incoming shipments/shipping of outgoing shipments as required in the shop
• Keep shop in clean and proper order
• Advise leader of print discrepancies and write CAR.
• Assemble components, sub-assemblies, and company products.
• Understand Quality Control Documents and are able to complete them per companies standards
• Ability to read 3d drawings
• Ability to understand daily documentation and are able to complete the task in the electronic form
• Participation in the company quality process.

Basic Broad Knowledge

• English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
• Production and Processing — Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

Education & Experience

• High School or equivalent experience
