Lead Building Engineer (Mobile) Job ID 187011 Posted 30-Sep-2024 Service line GWS Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Engineering/Maintenance Location(s) Battle Ground - Washington - United States of America, Tacoma - Washington - United States of America **ABOUT THE ROLE** As a CBRE Mobile Lead Building Engineer, you will be responsible for leading preventive maintenance and corrective repairs for buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment, and grounds. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function and is responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. + Must live within designated radius of the job site to reliably work schedule/shift. + Must be comfortable with extensive everyday travel in the Tacoma area. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** + Oversee maintenance and repairs to the mechanical, industrial, plumbing, structural, life safety, and control systems for the facility to keep facility and building systems up to applicable standards as assigned. + Review assigned work orders, estimate time and materials needed to complete the repair and maintain inventory of adequate supplies and tools. + Implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure that building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life; oversee repairs and emergency maintenance as needed. + Review inspections of building and industrial systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure the operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by the client. + Oversee compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agencies, and company directives related to building operations and work safety. + Operate company-issued vehicles in the execution of daily work responsibilities. + Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions. + Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function. + Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. + Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement. + Impact a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams. + Work within broad guidelines and policies. + Explain difficult or sensitive information. **WHAT YOU'LL DO** To perform this job effectively, an individual should be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. Perform and lead general preventive maintenance and corrective repair: + Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing + HVAC + General Facility **WHAT YOU'LL NEED** Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future. Education and Experience + High school diploma or general education degree (GED). + Proven experience as a building engineer; minimum of four years. + Mobile maintenance experience highly preferred. + Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record with periodic checks. + Leadership / Coaching + Training / Onboarding **CERTIFICATES AND/OR LICENSES** Universal CFC certification required. Certification in two or more of the following: Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC and Refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair as well as CFC Certification. **OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES** Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems. Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents. Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset. The salary range is $40 - $43 per hour. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications and experience.
