Your Role as a Lead Carpenter
As a Lead Carpenter, you will use your trade skills and tools, while overseeing the entire lifecycle of remodeling projects, from on-site start through completion. You will be the point of contact between clients, our team, vendors, and trade partners, ensuring each project is executed with the highest safety, efficiency, and quality standards. Your role is critical in delivering our clients a seamless and exceptional experience.
Lead Carpenter Core Responsibilities
- Use Your Trade Skills: Hands on working with the tools, start to finish of one remodeling project at a time. Sometimes working by yourself, while at other times working with other tradesmen.
- Manage Projects from Start to Finish: You oversee all phases of remodeling projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Coordinate Teams and Resources: You organize project teams, schedules, and resources to maintain efficiency and safety on-site.
- Maintain Accurate Documentation: You keep detailed records of project progress, including reports, logs, and client agreements.
- Communicate Effectively: As the primary contact for clients, team members, vendors, and trade partners, you ensure clear and consistent communication.
- Ensure Client Satisfaction: You are committed to delivering high-quality workmanship and promptly address concerns to achieve positive feedback and strong client relationships.
- Promote Continuous Improvement: You stay updated on industry trends and best practices and implement process improvements to enhance project outcomes and team performance.

Who We Are Looking For
As the Lead Carpenter, it is critical that you excel at leading teams and delivering exceptional projects. We are looking for someone who has the following qualities:
- Craftsmanship Level Trade Skills: If needed, you have the trade skills necessary to completely remodel a kitchen, bathroom, finish a basement or build an addition.
- Exceptional Leadership and Team Management Abilities: You have a proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
- Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills: You communicate clearly and professionally with clients, team members, vendors, and trade partners.
- Strong Organizational Skills: You have a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Technology Proficiency: You are proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Self-Starter: You consistently complete tasks with minimal supervision and take initiative.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of hands on trade experience in remodeling construction or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of people management.
- Proficiency in all phases of carpentry skills at a Master Craftsman level.
- Hands on experience and professionalism in various trades, such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, drywall, tile, cabinetry, interior doors and trim, flooring, along with roofing, siding, windows, and doors.
- In-depth knowledge of all trades related to remodeling to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to satisfy clients, industry standards, and company expectations.
- Project manager experience in guiding remodeling projects from start to finish, ensuring timely, high-quality results and seamless coordination across teams and resources.
- Able to perform physical tasks, including climbing, lifting 80 lbs., and working at heights and in challenging environments.
- Competent in basic mathematical skills.
- Ability to read, interpret, and write technical and non-technical documents.
Pay and Benefits
The pay scale for the Lead Carpenter role is $27.50 - $32.00 per hour, based on experience.
- Schedule: 4-day work week with 10 hour days: 7am - 5pm, Monday - Thursday required.

- Retirement: 401K with 100% company match for first 3%, and 50% match up to 5%.
- Holiday Pay: 8 days per year.
- Paid Time Off: Starting at 1 week of PTO after 1 year of employment.
- Compensation for Service Projects: The company pays normal wage for ½ of the time off an employee uses for pre-approved community service, mission trips, etc., up to 1 week per year.
