- Lead and oversee daily carpentry operations on job sites, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.
- Perform high-end carpentry work, including framing, trim work, cabinetry, and custom woodwork.
- Read and interpret blueprints, design plans, and technical drawings to execute tasks with precision.
- Collaborate with designers and project managers to ensure alignment with the overall vision and design of the project.
- Supervise and mentor junior carpenters and laborers, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Manage material orders, inventory, and on-site logistics to maintain efficiency and project flow.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and building codes.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure workmanship meets Thiessen Design + Construction's high standards.
- Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions to project managers and clients.
- 5+ years of experience as a carpenter, with a focus on high-end residential projects.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team of carpenters.
- Expertise in framing, finish carpentry, cabinetry, and custom woodwork.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, tools, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with other team members.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
