- Install Carpentry Fixtures: Install cabinets, shelving, fitted furniture, flooring, drywall, insulation, and other carpentry elements.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints and designs to adhere to architectural and construction specifications.
- Fixture Installation: Add and install fixtures such as door handles, locks, hinges, and closures.
- Measurement & Layout: Measure, mark, and arrange materials to create layouts based on blueprints or instructions from supervisors.
- Woodworking: Cut and shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall structures and forms.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy of work using tools like levels, framing squares, and other surveying equipment; make corrections as needed.
- Scaffolding: Erect and dismantle scaffolding as required for various projects.
- Tool Management: Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently to build assigned projects.
- Team Leadership: Delegate tasks to helpers to maintain effectiveness and efficiency on job sites.
- Worksite Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work area and handle company tools with care.
- Building Code Compliance: Adhere to local building, safety codes, and guidelines throughout all stages of the project.
- Repair & Maintenance: Conduct repair work and assess the quality of woodwork and materials.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to clients by delivering high-quality work and maintaining professionalism.
- Training & Development: Attend online or in-person carpentry courses as provided by the manager.
- Perform Other Duties: As required by the project or supervisor
- Proven experience as a Lead Carpenter or in a similar role.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, designs, and building code specifications.
- Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools used in carpentry.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and building codes.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead a team.
- Good physical stamina with the ability to stand for prolonged periods, climb, pull, and lift heavy objects.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required for this position.
