Lead Cashier - Pilot Company

Pay Rates Starting between: $13.10 - $18.95 / hour

The purpose of this job is to lead team members in a Travel Center as well as to perform all position requirements for team members.

Essential Functions • Process cash, credit, and debit transactions • Ensure quality service is delivered to every guest • Supervise and coach team members on shift; provide direction and take responsibility for team members work • Handle non-routine activities such as guest complaints, fuel spills, safety concerns, etc. • Use suggestive selling methods to promote and sell products • Ensure quality service is delivered to every guest • Contribute to the maintenance and cleaning of work area • Provide initial discipline with approval by General Manager • Complete end-of-the-day paperwork • Communicate any issues to the General Manager • Assist the General Manager in areas such as hiring, discipline, performance counseling, and termination • Perform other team member functions (e.g., cashier, maintenance, deli preparation, stocking, cleaning) • Ensure proper product stock levels to meet guest needs, food safety, and gross margin expectations • Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level • Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures • Complete other duties as assigned
