About the Job
- Deliver successful new and existing building commissioning projects as both a project manager and technical lead for mechanical systems.
- Provide project management and coordination on small to large size projects to meet client expectations for technical excellence, budget, and schedule.
- Prepare fee proposals for all the new work coming in!
- Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors, and other project team members.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve problems in a proactive manner.
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients.
- Build and foster relationships with potential new clients, expanding our commissioning business.
- Support our marketing manager on commissioning proposal opportunities.
- Provide technical expertise to staff and clients. Provide internal trainings and thought leadership outside of the organization.
- Help maintain our 95% referral rate and high contractor performance ratings.

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an HVAC focus.
- Minimum 10 years of building systems commissioning and design experience.
- Professional Engineer license
- Certification by one of the following organizations:
- ACG Certified Cx Authority (CxA)
- NEBB qualified Systems Commissioning Administrator (SCA)
- ICB/TABB Certified Commissioning Supervisor
- BCA Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP)
- AEE Certified Building Commissioning Professional (CBCP)
- University of Wisconsin-Madison Qualified Commissioning Process Provider (QCxP)
- American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) Building Commissioning Professional (BCxP)
- In depth technical, regulatory, and operational knowledge of commercial HVAC systems.
- Experience with Facility Grid is a plus.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong desire to motivate, mentor, and manage the work of others supporting your projects.
- Physical ability to stand for 8-10 hours per day on construction sites and climb stairs (possibly 4-5 stories) if elevators aren't functional yet.
- Due to government contract requirements and mandated access restrictions, sole US citizenship is a strict requirement of this role. Dual citizenship is not acceptable.
