We're growing and looking for a Lead Control Systems Analyst to join our Plant Floor Automation Team at the Omaha Regional Office. In this role, you'll be responsible for planning and designing significant portions of control systems with minimal supervision. This includes programming PLCs and/or HMIs, as well as implementing, testing, and documenting complex, technically oriented, and sensitive automated control systems. You'll work as part of a project team and also take on a mentoring role. The ideal candidate needs to be located in Omaha or willing to relocate to Omaha.

Responsibilities:Prosper at Interstates
What You’ll Be Doing
- Programming, implementation, testing and documentation of a control system which may include programming of one or more parts of the control system. This would include advanced programming of the PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), and / or the HMI (Human Machine Interface), and / or databases, and thus could require an advanced knowledge of programming in several PC languages as listed below.
- Available for after-hours support and possible pager duty.
- Configuration, installation and troubleshooting of PC/PLC hardware and software, and customer networks.
- Oversees the installation and start-up of a control system on a customer’s site, as well as supervises the start-up team while on site.
- Oversees in-house and in-plant customer operator training for the control system.
- Responsible for monitoring quality of programmer’s work and adhering to programming standards. Also is the technical leader on assigned projects.
- Takes the role of technical lead and responsible for the training of other Interstates employees in the department.
- Performs technical design and helps in estimating on assigned projects.
Knowledge and Expertise for this Role
- 4-year degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, 2 year Technical degree and/or equivalent
- 7-10 years’ Experience in the engineering and development of integrated controls systems solutions for batch or process-based manufacturing systems
- Experience in Control System checkout, commissioning and system startup.
- Experience in Control System data collection, reporting and integrated information systems.
- 3-5 years’ leadership experience
Preferred skills or industry knowledge
- Value-add Ag such as: Ethanol, Seed Oil, Petfood
- Food & Bev
- Continuous Process
- Experience with industrial control systems, OT, data integration
- Able to stay up to date on industry standards and promote best practices
- Experience leading clients on digital transformation journeys
- Experience with major automation platforms, such as Rockwell Automation, Schneider Electric, Siemens
- Technical Sales Experience

Travel/Location:
- Travel will be required for sales purposes, for fact finding, to install control systems, and to provide plant start-up services at Customer sites. The amount of travel will vary according to business requirements. Up to 35% may be expected.
- The position is located in Omaha, NE. Person must be located in Omaha or willing to relocate.
