Summary:
Meta seeks a highly motivated team player to join our North American Regulatory Enforcement legal team. The successful candidate will work with a talented and supportive team to help lead on high-profile, precedent-setting civil and criminal investigations, engagements, and initiatives with enforcement authorities at the Federal, State and local levels on issues involving our products and services, including data privacy, consumer protection, securities, civil rights, ads, payments, content, and platform integrity matters. As part of the role, they will partner with internal stakeholders from across the company to mitigate risk.The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication, organizational and relationship-building skills, and a strong interest in learning about new technologies and areas of law. Required Skills:
Lead Counsel, Regulatory Enforcement Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement strategy for managing and resolving regulatory inquiries and investigations
2. Conduct detailed internal investigations in connection with regulatory inquiries and investigations, including leading fact development and coordinating with teams across the Legal department
3. Represent the company in connection with regulatory inquiries and disputes, including supervision of outside counsel
4. Collaborate with product, policy and communications teams to develop and implement regulatory and policy strategy on important and breaking issues
Minimum Qualifications:

5. J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent)
6. Active membership in at least one US state bar and eligibility to obtain registered in-house counsel status (if required by the State Bar in the assigned work location)
7. 5+ years of legal experience as a practicing attorney, including at a law firm and/or in-house or government experience
8. Demonstrate business judgment and client counseling skills
9. Effective communication skills
10. Experience developing and executing legal strategy
11. Experience collaborating and communicating with cross-functional teams

Public Compensation:
$198,000/year to $266,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
