About the Job
This is an open recruitment to establish an eligibility list to fill the current vacant position. The eligibility list will be used to fill any vacancies which may occur within a period of one year, or until the eligibility list is depleted. The current vacancy works 8 hours per day, 12 months per year, Monday - Friday, at a school site. The working hours will be 10:30 am-7:00 pm.
The recruitment process will consist of a training and experience examination and a structured interview.
BASIC FUNCTION:
Under the direction of assigned administrators and the Coordinator-Custodial Services, lead and participate in a variety of custodial activities to assure buildings and adjacent grounds areas at an assigned elementary school are maintained in a clean, orderly, safe, sanitary and secure condition; train and provide work direction and guidance to assigned personnel.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:
The Lead Custodian I classification serves as a lead at an assigned elementary school or academy site. Incumbents provide work direction to a small work crew. The Lead Custodian II classification serves as a lead at an assigned middle school site. Classification duties are larger in scope, complexity, and responsibility, and incumbents provide work direction to a mid-sized work crew. The Lead Custodian III classification serves as a lead at an assigned high school site. Incumbents provide direction to a large work crew and are responsible for the largest scope of duties and responsibilities in the series.
