Position Summary:
The Lead Customer Service Representative (CSR) will be required to oversee customer service functions for courier services for specimen delivery. The Lead CSR must be able to communicate with patients, physicians, physician office staff, hospital staff, coworkers, Patient Service Center Manager and the Laboratory Administrative Director. The Lead CSR will oversee ordering of supplies and distribution to clients, specimen pick-up and delivery, new courier training and competency assessment and annual competency assessment and continuing education of staff.Qualifications:
Education:
High School graduate or equivalent Required. Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training course or on the job training in a CAP certified hospital laboratory is a plus.
Training and Experience
Two to five years’ experience in a CAP or TJC certified hospital or reference clinical laboratory preferred.
Job Knowledge:
Must have a thorough understanding of Clinical Laboratory procedures.
