You will help manage the roadmap and evolve how FanDuel looks at the fraud and payments space using the advanced statistical and machine learning methodologies. You will be part of a group of data scientists and analysts to continually evolve the various tools, models, and data visualizations, to continue and keep our customers safe.  THE GAME PLANEveryone on our team has a part to playDevelop and implement advanced statistical and machine learning models to detect and predict fraudulent behaviorsContinuously refine and enhance fraud detection models to improve accuracy and reduce false positives.Collaborate with domain experts to understand key indicators of fraud and incorporate them into the models.Identify and mitigate fraud risks by implementing anomaly detection and pattern recognition models to detect suspicious activities.Implement real-time fraud detection systems using appropriate software and technologies.Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in fraud detection methodologiesLead projects from start to finish, maintain a roadmap, set proper expectations, and communicate timely and adequately with stakeholdersOwn presentations to senior stakeholders, focusing on results and impactful actionable insights, adjusting the communication style to the audienceTHE STATSWhat we're looking for in our next teammate8+ years of experience in Data Science creating and deploying modelsHands on experience working within Fraud and/or Payments business unitsDeep understanding of the technical elements required to build risk modelsExperience developing roadmaps for operations teams to evolve how a business looks at customer riskBachelor's Degree in a highly numerate major (Math, Stats, Econ, etc.) or relevant experience in data and/or business analysis Experience delivering model result to business users and have recommendation implemented Leadership experience running a team focused on MMMsProficiency in SQL and Python or R required Experience with techstacks such as MLFlow, Spark, Databricks, SagemakerCan write production level code, understand principles of programming Experience working in groups and being part of smaller intra year projects Interest in Sports and/or Sports Gaming preferred PLAYER BENEFITSWe treat our team rightFrom our many opportunities for professional development to our generous insurance and paid leave policies, we’re committed to making sure our employees get as much out of FanDuel as we ask them to give. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation.
