As the Lead Dental Hygienist, you will play a critical role in the growth of our hygiene team. You’ll have the chance to use your clinical expertise to not only provide excellent patient care but also teach and develop new hygienists, ensuring they uphold the highest standards of practice. This is a leadership role that includes recruiting, training, and some management responsibilities. You will work closely with our management team to ensure patient care is exceptional and efficient.
Responsibilities:
- Provide top-notch hygiene services to our patients.
- Lead the recruiting, training, and onboarding of new dental hygienists.
- Mentor and teach new and existing hygienists on clinical techniques and best practices.
- Develop and maintain a positive team culture within the hygiene department.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with OSHA and dental regulations.
- Collaborate with dentists and the management team to optimize patient care.
- Oversee hygiene schedules and manage day-to-day operations related to hygiene care.
- Occasional travel to Omaha for onboarding and in-person training (non-overnight), with most communication handled via email and Zoom; mileage reimbursement provided.
Qualifications:
- Valid Dental Hygienist License for the state of [Insert State].
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical hygiene experience.
- Leadership experience or a strong desire to step into a management role.
- Passion for teaching and mentoring.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
