Pratt Waste & Recycling has an _immediate_ opening for a Lead Diesel Mechanic to work at our site in Oxford , MA.

Our priority is to make sure we hire mechanics that care about the safety of our drivers and the service provided to the community. As a mechanic with us the minimum responsibilities are:
+ Supervise, organize, schedule, and review the work of Mechanic team.
+ Will select, supervisor, train, and evaluate staff members.
+ Performs inspections, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, air, and hydraulic systems on MVR equipment such as conveyors, paper and cardboard screen, ballistic screen, optical screen, balers, and others.
+ Will ensure heavy equipment is power washed during routine preventative maintenance
+ Ensure timely completion of pm’s and repairs.
+ Complete required paperwork utilizing equipment maintenance software program and assist and closing paperwork as needed.
+ Reviews and completes repairs identified on Daily Inspection Reports.
+ Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
+ Monitors shop condition, including cleanliness, safety, including the condition of shop equipment. Reports problems.
+ Communicate with Operations scheduling of down equipment.
+ Strive to help achieve monthly shop budget and goals.
+ Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
What we need from you:
+ Valid Drivers License.
+ Proficiency in a variety of diesel vehicle diagnostic tools, preventative maintenance and repair.
+ Basic tool set.
