As a Lead Digital IC Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our digital circuit designs. This position requires an innovative mindset and the ability to lead projects from conception through to successful implementation.
In this role, you will oversee the design and implementation of complex digital circuits, ensuring seamless integration with analog components. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will develop innovative circuit solutions that meet stringent performance and cost objectives. Your strong leadership throughout the design cycle will be critical to driving high-quality output and meeting project deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and architecture of digital integrated circuits, defining specifications and requirements.
- Oversee project execution, guiding team members through the design, verification, and implementation phases.
- Collaborate with analog design teams to ensure effective integration of digital and analog components.
- Establish timing constraints and manage design flow, including synthesis, floor planning, place and route (PnR), and timing analysis.
- Create robust testbenches in SystemVerilog or UVM to validate design functionality and performance.
- Mentor junior engineers, fostering skills in digital design and best practices.
- Implement design methodologies that streamline the design process while maintaining high standards of quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in digital IC design.
- Strong proficiency in SystemVerilog and UVM with practical experience in verification environments.
- Expertise with digital design tools and methodologies, including synthesis, PnR, and Static Timing Analysis (STA).
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to manage multifaceted projects.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferences:
- Experience with scripting languages and automation tools.
- Familiarity with ATE testing environments is an advantage.
- Prior experience in mentoring or leading engineering teams is a plus.
