About the Job
This is a full-time position to support our Electrophysiology (EP) department in our growing cardiology practice. Assumes responsibility for interrogation and troubleshooting of pacemaker and ICDs in an office setting. Downloads information from remote monitoring companies. Must be able to recognize abnormalities in recording and seek appropriate guidance from Providers (MDs and/or APPs). Maintains accurate documentation in patients’ electronic health record (EHR). Willing to train candidate with 3 years Cardiology experience, with knowledge of arrhythmias.
* Function as a Lead Device Clinic Member
* Ensure adequate daily coverage of all EP/device service areas.
* Schedule, create agenda for education programs, Facilitate the monthly device meeting.
* Work with Administration when necessary for HR issues.
* Work with Device colleagues, EP Providers and Diagnostic Testing Manager to promote continued program development, future implementation of MURJ, Care Everywhere, adherence with HRS guidelines etc.
* Create and facilitate chart audits for Device Clinic staff to ensure compliance, quality, to identify areas of improvement/education.
* Develop standing protocols for common scenarios, such as wound checks, lead malfunction, HF diagnostic alerts (may include a standing order set)
* Work with other EP RN staff to perform wound checks, groin and pocket evaluations.
* Clinic resource for device troubleshooting and reprogramming. Consult with EP Providers when necessary.
* Begin integration of EP RN HF triage role/Cardio MEMS data management.
* Work as staff member in the Device Clinic as well as in the remote management rotation.
