About the Job
We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Lead Field Auditor to join a leading Company located in the Chicago, IL surrounding area.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform diverse and complex financial, compliance, and operational internal audits of agencies or businesses.
- Collaborate with other colleagues during all phases of the audit process including developing the audit plan, objectives, scope, and procedures.
- Prepare audit programs to achieve objectives.
- Complete audits on time and within budget.
- Responsible for gathering and analyzing sufficient evidence and data to reach a conclusion on the audit objectives.
- Conduct interviews in agencies to obtain understandings of internal control structures and document understandings in a clear and concise manner.
- Prepare audit reports and management letters to communicate the results of each audit performed.
- Assist with following up on the implementation of audit recommendations.
- Communicate results of internal audits to leadership.
- Provide guidance and mentorship for auditing staff and delegate work, as needed.
Basic Hiring Criteria:
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree or higher is required.
- Five (5) years in conducting audits or directly related experience is required.
- In good standing as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Government Audit Professional (CGAP), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Risk Management Assurance (CRMA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), or relevant area is required
- Valid driver's license is required.
