InVision Communications is seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Field Technician to oversee and execute the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced A/V systems, home automation, lighting controls, custom shades, and security systems. Based in Vail, CO, this role involves leading a team of field technicians, ensuring top-tier technology services for high-end residential and commercial properties. - Lead and manage on-site installations of audio, video, home automation, lighting control, and security systems.
- Supervise, mentor, and train field technicians, ensuring projects meet deadlines and high-quality standards.
- Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on A/V and automation systems.
- Collaborate with project management, sales, and engineering to execute cutting-edge installations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and wiring schematics for system setups.
- Interface with clients, contractors, and partners to ensure clear communication and satisfaction.
- Stay updated on the latest A/V technologies and industry trends through continuous research and training.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, service reports, and system configurations.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance on all job sites.
- Assist in the integration of network solutions, home theaters, video monitoring, and other technology systems.
- Required:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in A/V, home automation, or related technical fields.
- Strong knowledge of A/V system installation, troubleshooting, and integration.
- Experience with Crestron, Lutron, Savant, and Control4 products.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, stand and walk for 8+ hours a day.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Preferred:
- Experience with networking, home theaters, lighting controls, and security systems.
- CEDIA or InfoComm certifications and/or coursework in audio/visual systems installation.
- Experience in new construction and finished residential and commercial environments.
- Strong understanding of Google Docs and Google Sheets.
- Problem-solving, troubleshooting, and creative thinking skills.
