Lead Finance Consultant, Dynamics AX/F&SCM

The Lead Finance Consultant, Dynamics AX/F&SCM is responsible for managing client relationships and leading the successful implementation of Dynamics AX/F&SCM Finance modules, utilizing industry best practices. This role involves working closely with clients to understand their business requirements, conducting gap analysis, and designing practical business solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Dynamics AX/F&SCM Financials and a strong background in full lifecycle implementations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Client Relationship Management: Provide functional expertise and manage client relationships within the scope of the individual role, ensuring clear communication and understanding of client needs.
- Business Solutions Implementation: Lead the implementation of practical business solutions using industry best practices and Dynamics AX/F&SCM Finance modules.
- Module Implementation: Facilitate the implementation and support of Dynamics AX/F&SCM Finance modules, including design, configuration, and testing.
- Requirements Analysis: Work with customers to understand their business requirements, conducting gap analysis to identify areas where solutions need to be customized or enhanced.
- Documentation: Convert business requirements into functional specifications and functional design documents, ensuring clear and detailed documentation for implementation teams.
- Project Participation: Participate in and facilitate small projects related to ISVs and other implementation work, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within scope.
- Client Communication: Represent Synoptek by communicating with clients regarding AX/F&SCM technical support cases through telephone, electronic correspondence, and in person.
- Issue Triage and Resolution: Triage client issues, scope the time and resources required to provide solutions, and resolve technical support issues through product knowledge and expertise.
- Industry Knowledge: Maintain strong knowledge of industry trends, advancements in technology, and Microsoft's product offerings and enhancements.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with resources from other teams or groups as needed to resolve client issues and deliver comprehensive solutions.

Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, equivalent years of experience in functional consulting, particularly with Dynamics AX Financials, may be considered. The ratio is 1:1, meaning one year of college equals one year of work experience, and vice versa.
- Certification in Dynamics AX/F&SCM Financials and at least one other Dynamics AX module.
Experience
- Customarily has at least 8 years of experience with Dynamics AX/F&SCM Financials and 7+ years of experience with Dynamics AX/F&SCM implementations.
- Customarily has at least 7 years of experience in full lifecycle Dynamics AX/F&SCM implementations, covering phases from analysis to deployment.
- Customarily has at least 5 years of industry and/or consulting experience.

Working Conditions

The final location is based on business need. May be subject to time constraints and tight deadlines. Will require up to 50% onsite travel based on client project requirements
Salary Range
The following information is required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act and applies only to individuals working in the state of Colorado. The anticipated starting pay range for Denver, Colorado applicants for this role is $97,631.43- $126,147.02 with a median of $110,988.18. Actual compensation is impacted by a number of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, specific work locations and any potential licenses and certifications required for that role.
The following information is required by the Illinois Equal Pay Transparency Act and applies only to individuals working in the state of Illinois. The anticipated starting pay range for Chicago, Illinois applicants for this role is $99,014.32- $127,933.81 with a median of $112,560.25. Actual compensation is impacted by a number of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, specific work locations and any potential licenses and certifications required for that role.
