Key Fire Protection, Inc. is seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Fire Protection Sprinkler Fitter / Working Foreman to manage and oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems on various residential, commercial, and industrial projects. This role requires leadership capabilities, a solid technical understanding of fire protection systems, and the ability to mentor and lead a team while ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations.

- Supervise and lead a team of fitters in the installation, repair, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems.
- Ensure all fire sprinkler systems are installed according to local, state, and national fire safety codes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to oversee accurate installation and troubleshooting of systems.
- Perform hands-on work, including cutting, threading, and grooving pipes; assembling and installing pipes, valves, and fittings as necessary.
- Conduct regular inspections and tests on sprinkler systems to ensure functionality and compliance with regulations.
- Manage project timelines and communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and other construction professionals to ensure seamless project execution.
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed, materials used, and project progress reports.
- Train and mentor junior fitters and ensure they adhere to safety protocols and industry standards.
- Enforce job site safety standards and ensure all team members use appropriate safety equipment, including fall protection.
- Provide excellent customer service by maintaining clear communication with clients and addressing any concerns professionally.
- Work with the team to troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to system installations or repairs.
- Maintain inventory of materials and ensure proper ordering of supplies needed for projects.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a fire sprinkler fitter or in a related field with at least 2 years in a leadership role as a foreman or team lead.
- Valid state driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of fire protection systems, industry codes, and safety standards.
- Proficiency in the use of hand tools and equipment necessary for fire sprinkler installation and maintenance.
- Working at heights and on scissor lifts, man lifts, and using proper fall protection.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Willingness to work overtime, travel out of town, or be on-call as needed.
- OSHA experience is highly preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment.
- Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing ladders and working in confined spaces.
