The Lead Floor Technician practices to ensure compliance established standards in order to meet customer expectations. Responsible for the loading, unloading, and receiving of all equipment including transfers and returns activity to fulfill customer orders. Lead the coordination of the weekly Floor activities and maintain the return processes for all disciplines.
- Ensure operational safety compliance & focus on communication are stressed on a daily basis.
- Leads Floor activities by coordinating and prioritizing the work of fellow team members of subordinate employees and maintains clear, concise communication with Floor Manager to ensure execution of operational directives.
- Work from schedules, contracts, shipping and receiving log, purchase orders, bills of lading, packing lists, equipment return forms, cross rental forms, and other similar documentation.
- Monitor the loading and unloading of freight utilizing manifest documentation and packing lists to ensure entire shipment is intact, complete, and damage free. Communicate the status of shipments within the company as required and trace shipments via common carriers to maintain awareness of current status.
- Coordinate the safe and timely loading and unloading for trucks and monitor the return process for all inbound equipment for accuracy and compliance. Ensure that all items are scanned and returned to the proper location in the warehouse.
- Match and file documentation related to orders and shipments in designated filing systems. Research and locate specific documents as required to resolve problems.
- Package, weigh and measure shipments, prepare bills of lading, international manifests, and other paperwork.
- Coordinate the timely and cost-effective departure of all transfers to other LMG warehouses communicating the deadlines for shipping to the discipline supervisors, ensuring all transfers shipped in time while monitoring in R2.
- Work from schedules, contracts, cross rental forms, equipment return forms, and other similar documentation when dispatching LMG and 3rd party drivers in the most efficient means possible.
- Perform Non-CDL driving activities supporting operational needs.
Base Salary Range: $21.73/hr - $32.20/hr This represents the low and high end of the company's base salary range for this position. Actual base salary range may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to experience.
