- Conduct First Article inspections, prepare reports, and communicate results.
- Document inspection results by completing reports and logs and input data into a quality database.
- Approves in-coming products, conducting visual, tactile, dimensional, and functional measurement tests of machined parts, molded parts and assemblies as required per work instructions and or part drawing.
- Documenting non-conforming material and participate in MRB meetings
- Perform special QA inspections/assembly inspections/other projects as required.
- Assist the team with diagnosing issues with products.
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
- Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
- Other tasks as assigned by management.
Education and Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
- At least 2 years of quality inspector experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Internal experience as a Level 2 inspecter may also be considered.
- Experience with basic mechanical and measuring devices such as micrometers, torque wrenches, gauges, calipers, and other measuring instruments highly preferrred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access)
- Experience in calibration techniques a plus but not requred
- Prior experience using SQCpack and/or DELMIAworks/IQMS a plus but not required
- ASQ CQI or CMI Certification a plus but not required

- The ability to communicate using English, as needed, to effectively communicate results and issues (through oral and written communications) to a variety of audiences
- The ability to read and understand written instructions, shipping orders, department paperwork, safety warning labels and placards; Verbally communicate with manager, leads and co-workers regarding department procedures and safety related information
- Ability and interest in learning and using new skills and technical product knowledge
