JOB DESCRIPTION
Our Lead Maintenance Technician will be responsible for all facility and equipment upkeep and repair. Candidates should:
- Possess great mechanical aptitude and work well hands-on
- Be familiar with basic and specialized hand tools and their uses
- Manage maintenance and custodial team
- Schedule and assign work orders and proactive maintenance tasks
- Prioritize work across the team
- Operate a broad range of benchtop equipment, including lathe, drill press, band saw and other fabrication equipment
- Systematically troubleshoot equipment
- Follow through maintenance and repair assignments to completion
- Clearly report on all tasks using email
- Research parts and equipment in order to obtain the correct parts and equipment for the best possible prices
- Maintain a working Preventative Maintenance program for all equipment in the company.
- Maintain active list of maintenance projects and must be able to properly prioritize the items on the list
- Facilitate, support and maintain communication between all the departments in the company regarding ongoing projects or repairs.
- Train others in troubleshooting and repair, as well as proper installation for all equipment items
- Maintain a parts catalog, including updating with new parts as needed and reordering stock parts as needed
- Be able to handle company resources responsibly
- Submit monthly expense reports for items purchased
- Be ready to assist in any operations around the facility as needed, including performing custodial duties and assisting in other departments
- Must be available to come in on weekends if critical repairs demand it.
Qualifications
- Have knowledge and 5 years experience with plumbing, HVAC, glycol refrigeration, electrical, draft systems, heavy equipment operation
- Have good organization and communication skills
- Be able to use, fluently read and understand the function of measurement devices, including, but not limited to, tape measures, laser distance meters, measuring wheels, calipers (digital and analog), pressure gauges (metric and English), temperature gauges (Fahrenheit and Celsius), multimeters, balances (scales)
- Have experience managing a maintenance team
- Possess the ability to read and comprehend basic machine manuals and diagrams.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime and/or nights, weekends and holidays
- Live in or be willing to relocate to South Florida
- Be a self-starter
- Love craft beer
- Welding experience a plus
- Electrical experience a plus
- Automation equipment experience a plus.

- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.
