• Daily Operations: Assist in the smooth functioning of the optical department, ensuring top-quality patient care.
• Order Management: Complete all frame and lens orders, including specialty orders, by the end of the day with updated status notes. Identify and address patterns in order errors to minimize patient delays.
• Invoice Analysis: Review lens and frame invoices to make informed decisions regarding lab and lens choices for improved quality and pricing.
• Sales Support: Monitor optical sales trends to support team goals and contribute to future growth strategies.
• Insurance Coordination: Accurately file frames and lenses with the appropriate insurance plans within one week of order placement. Provide support to team members on insurance plans and eligibility.
• Customer Support: Address billing issues, patient concerns, and order corrections to ensure a seamless experience for our patients.
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain all optical lab equipment to ensure it operates efficiently.

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year as an optician in a private practice is required. A strong background in ordering lenses and frames, filing vision insurance claims, and patient education is preferred.
• Skills: Proficient in computer and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse patient populations and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Problem-Solving: Skilled in identifying and resolving order errors and improving processes.
• Preferred, but Not Required: Experience with edging lenses and bilingual in Spanish and English.

• Wednesday: 8:45 am - 5:00 pm
• Thursday: 10:45 am - 7:00 pm
