Lead Optomechanical Engineer - Meta
Redmond, WA
About the Job
As an Opto-Mechanical Engineer at Meta, you will take a critical role in developing next generation AR systems. You will become part of a team translating new concepts through mechanical design and fast iterative prototyping into products. A wide range of approaches will be explored combining electrical, mechanical, optical, firmware, and software techniques. We want people who work well in teams, can brainstorm big ideas, work in new technology areas, are able to drive a concept into a prototype and then mature the design to high-volume consumer product solutions. We are looking for someone with a product mindset to join the display systems integration team. This will be a technical lead role where the individual in this role will work closely with product design engineers, display engineers, hardware engineers, process engineers, FEA simulation engineers, material scientists, project managers, validation engineers, product-operations, and international suppliers from the concept/architecture definition stage through product engineering validation builds. We work at a fast pace with a group of highly self-motivated talents. The individual should demonstrate strong ability to continuously develop personal knowledge and expertise in new technology for AR display systems assembly, process design, manufacturing, and scalability.
