About the Job
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Physical Therapist to join our dynamic outpatient clinic team. The Lead PT will oversee patient care, mentor staff, and ensure the highest standards of clinical excellence. This role is crucial in enhancing patient outcomes and fostering a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough evaluations of patients with orthopedic conditions, including history taking, physical assessments, and functional evaluations.
- Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices and patient-specific goals.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and patient education.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, rehabilitation strategies, and self-management techniques to enhance recovery and promote long-term health.
- Mentorship: Serve as a mentor and resource for team physical therapists, PT assistants, and interns, providing guidance and support in clinical practice and professional development. Conduct periodic team meetings to discuss patient care, share knowledge, and promote best practices.
- Coordination: Ensure adequate PT/PTA staffing coverage within hours of operation, coordinate Tech Scheduling.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with clinic policies and regulatory requirements.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including program development and patient outcome assessments.
- Continuing Education: Stay updated on current trends and advancements in orthopedic physical therapy through continuing education and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in outpatient physical therapy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and clinical excellence.
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods, lift and transfer patients, and perform physical interventions as necessary.
