Pay Range: $23.00-$25.00 an hour, DOE.
We are a licensed preschool located on the beautiful resort grounds of the Lake Forest Beach & Tennis Club. We are seeking a full-time Lead Pre-School Teacher for our Lakeview Learning Center.

Our teachers instruct children between the ages of 2 and 5 with the philosophy of hands-on learning through play and kindergarten readiness curriculum. Helping children develop socially, academically, emotionally, physically and cognitively.
Job Title: PRESCHOOL LEAD TEACHER
Reports To: PRESCHOOL DIRECTOR
Location: LAKE FOREST COMMUNITY (Licensed Pre-school Lakeview Learning Center)
Department: PRESCHOOL FLSA: NON-EXEMPT
SUMMARY
To represent EPS and the Association and Board of Directors as a Lead Preschool Teacher. Assist the Preschool Director in planning, organizing and implementing a comprehensive Preschool program, preparation of daily activities and curriculum. Reports directly to the Preschool Director with significant contact with parents and children.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· At the direction of the Preschool Director, assist and plan in the daily structure of the day and activities.
· Responsible for the well-being and safety of the children.
· Assist in the daily cleaning of the classrooms to keep everyone healthy.
· Get to know the families and children.
· Assist in maintenance and decoration of bulletin boards
· Assist in responsibility for classroom safety
· Assist in all aspects and duties of preschool teaching
· Assist in control and safety of all enrolled children while on the Association grounds during scheduled classes and events
· Remain alert to signs of child abuse or neglect, reporting suspected cases to the Director.
The preceding functions have been provided as examples of the types of work performed by employees assigned to this job classification. Management reserves the right to add, modify, change or rescind the work of different assignment positions.
NON-ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assist with other jobs and other duties as necessary.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
· A Lead Teacher must meet the qualifications from the State of California Manual of Policies and Procedures Title 22 booklet, Section 101216.2.
· Must have 12 ECE units, specific classes; 1) Child/Human Growth and Development, 2) Child, Family and Community, 3) Program Curriculum, 4) Infant/School Age
· A minimum of 6 months -12 months experience teaching in a classroom environment.
· Must have a current CPR/First Aid Certification. Must be up to date on "Mandated Reporting Certification," and Immunization record and/or medical notice decline of vaccinations.
· Must have/pass a health and TB screening as well as a LIVESCAN fingerprint clearance.
