Position SummaryPlays a critical role in shaping product portfolio strategy & participating in the creation of relevant business cases
Accountable for the full product lifecycle from ideation to end-of-life
Responsible for determining interdependencies in the broader CDK product lines & ecosystem
Responsible for the individual product strategy & requirements for new & existing offerings, delivering sustaining & new innovation
This includes recommendations on build, buy, or partner
Voice of the customer & market for the product organization
Ensures that user personas & product requirements are defined & reflected in Features (Epics) and user stories
Working with Scrum Master, ensures timely decision making on product requirement trade-offsSupervision and AutonomyConducts highly complex, ambiguous & vital work.Operates with minimal to no supervision, large latitude for independent judgement.Uses expertise & experience to evolve and/or create new procedures.Product Knowledge Expert & thought leader: keeps abreast of competition & market trends, sharing insights with stakeholders
Continuously honing product management skills.Leverages industry, org, & customer knowledge to solve unique/complex problems with broad business impact; recommends new solutions LeadershipLeads product strategy & requirements for agile teams, users/Features (Epics), initiativesProvides coaching to team (peer-to-many) & frequently
mentors less experienced staff (assigned & related orgs).Successful execution of the role will result in significant business value (profitable growth) and customer delight (as measured by NPS) on the product family and cross-connected use cases
Has significant impact on commitments & issues are likely to cause major disruption to the business.Position Responsibilities & Essential functionDefine product vision & requirements (based on feedback dealers/customers & analysis of user & buyer personas) to deliver differentiated customer outcomes, profitable growth.Become a trusted partner with R&D & other cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful fulfillment of product requirements.Work with product marketing to develop product's value proposition, features / benefitsMonitor & adapt to key product success metrics (e.g
adoption, profitability, NPS, market share growth) Invest in gaining expertise of the market, user personas, functional & domain knowledge.Develop & prioritize the Features (Epics) & user stories based on user/market requirements, strategy & business plan
Support business case development.Prioritize roadmap, balance short/long term (OEM, Dealer, Group, Partners) to deliver sustained business value, lead business case development with P&L leader.Collaborate with other Product Managers to ensure that the product remains aligned with overall direction CDK product strategies & deliverables.Present & explain the product roadmap to senior executives, sales associates & customers.Serve as credible subject matter expert & thought leader.Use functional & domain experience to mentor & guide other product managers.QualificationsPreferred:MBA, MA Computer Science, Engineering.Expert Knowledge of the auto OR rec & heavy industry, relevant customer environment.Pragmatic Institute ExperienceEducation/ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering or equivalent industry experience. 6 to 8+ years of Product Management and/or equivalent experience in Enterprise SaaS, full lifecycle management.Experience in Agile software/DevOps methodologies & working with globally distributed teams.Excellent critical thinking skills; ability to make decision in dynamic environment.Excellent written & verbal communication skills
Experience in presenting at senior level customers & internal stakeholders.Ability to listen & consider the points of view of others, collaborate, build consensus cross-functionally.Financial acumen to support the development of business cases/monetization options.Highly motivated ‘go-getter' driven to achieve business results with the ability to remain positive & focused on delivering customer outcomes.Travel up to 25% of time.Compensation: $145,000 - $170,000CDK Global is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices
Compensation packages are based on several factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, certifications, and work location.
