Job summary:
The Lead Facilitator is responsible for delivering and overseeing the implementation of the virtual exchange program for university students in the four regions. This role involves leading workshops, guiding discussions, supporting student collaboration, and fostering an engaging and inclusive learning environment. as well as coordinating with facilitators, managing logistics, and ensuring the program objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Implementation:
- Lead the recruitment process of the participants in the region in coordination with the program supervisor.
- Coordinate and oversee the execution of the virtual exchange program in the region.
- Monitor the progress of the program in the region and provide weekly updates to the Program Supervisor.
- Facilitate virtual workshops on Discord, discussions, and activities in alignment with the program curriculum.
- Provide clear instructions and guidance to students on assignments and projects.
- Monitor students' progress in attendance, assignments, engagement, and the final project.
Team Management:
- Supervise and support facilitators in their roles.
- Weekly check-in with facilitators progress and make sure they are completing their tasks.
- Liaise with Program Supervisor and ensure program activities completion in the region.
- Engage with participants, providing guidance and support throughout the program.
Evaluation and Reporting:
- Collect data to facilitate assessing participant progress and program impact.
- Liaise with Program Coordinator to prepare and submit monthly reports to the program supervisor.
- Collect Student's progress report/feedback through monthly check-in.
Logistics and Administration:
- Manage program logistics, including scheduling, resource allocation, and technical support.
- Ensure all materials and resources are accessible to facilitators and participants.
- Moderate Discord Channels and bots related to the program.
Qualifications & Key Competencies:
- Previous experience as a Digital Facilitator for World Learning Youth Programs
- Degree in Education, STEAM fields, or a related discipline.
- Experience in teaching, training, or facilitating workshops, especially in a virtual setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Knowledge of the local context and cultural sensitivities in the region.
- Proficiency in English and the local language(s) of the region.
- Familiarity with STEAM education and virtual learning platforms.
- Effective communication and presentation skills
