Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Residential Installer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components, including wiring, circuit breakers, transformers, and lighting.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical codes to plan and execute electrical installations.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of electrical systems to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, and perform repairs as needed.
- Collaborate with contractors, architects, and other professionals to ensure electrical systems meet project specifications and safety standards.
- Adhere to local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company policies and safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Provide guidance and training to apprentices and junior electricians.
- Respond to emergency electrical issues and provide timely resolutions.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Completion of a state-approved apprenticeship program or equivalent work experience.
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as an electrician, with a strong background in both residential and commercial electrical systems.
Certification and Licensing Requirements:
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Ability to work in confined spaces, on ladders, scaffolds, and aerial lift platforms.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in using electrical testing and diagnostic tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with advanced electrical systems, such as automation and control systems.
- Familiarity with energy-efficient and renewable energy technologies.
- Experience in supervising and training apprentices.
