Responsibilities:The Lead Safety Compliance Specialist will be responsible for all aspects of health and safety compliance for the assigned area including people and assets. This individual will implement and manage EnLink’s safety strategy through strong relationships with operations by leading safety training, performing facility inspections/audits, engaging with contractors, as well as reinforcing the company’s Health and Safety standards. Duties include:
- Provide support to operations, project engineers, corporate and other groups with the goal of achieving safety compliance for EnLink Midstream assets.
- Supervise and provide guidance and mentorship to all direct report/s.
- Implement, manage and enhance the safety program, while assisting in safety training, leading inspections, and performing audits to promote employee safety and maintain compliance with applicable Health and Safety standards.
- Perform duties necessary to ensure health and safety compliance, including but not limited to oversight of the asset area’s safety training programs, conducting site and contractor incident investigations, safety reviews, and hazard assessments.
- Coordinate with first responders to improve emergency response program and facilitate emergency response drills.
- Work with operations and engineering/construction teams to implement EH&S programs as dictated by the company.
- Travel required to assets throughout the area. Overnight travel may be necessary but should be limited in frequency and in duration.
- High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of direct experience in the safety field in oil and gas, petrochemical, or similar industry with the ability to implement, administer and evaluate the effectiveness of health and safety programs.
- Strong experience with and working knowledge of applicable Occupational Safety & Health Administrations (OSHA) 29 CFR 1910 and 1926 regulations.
- Hands-on experience in providing health and safety training.
- Must have the ability to achieve results through influencing others and possess flexibility while being both analytical and detailed-oriented.
