About this role:
Our client is seeking a Lead Service Now Engineer (Lead Specialty Software Engineer) to support the Enterprise Business Resiliency (EBR) line of business. Note: Prior experience with Service Now Business Continuity Management is a requirement of this position.
In this role, you will:

• Lead complex initiatives on selected domains
• Ensure systems are monitored to increase operational efficiency and managed to mitigate risk
• Define opportunities to maximize resource utilization and improve processes while reducing cost
• Lead, design, develop, test and implement applications and system components, tools and utilities, models, simulation, and analytics to manage complex business functions using sophisticated technologies
• Resolve coding, testing and escalated platform issues of a technically challenging nature
• Lead team to ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
• Mentor less experienced software engineers
• Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers
• Lead team to achieve objectives
• Partner with production support and platform engineering teams effectively

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education¿
• 5 + years of ServiceNow Software Engineering experience (new development and support)
• 3+ years of SQL development
• 2+ years of experience with ServiceNow Business Continuity Module (BCM), ITSM, Common Services Data Model, and/or custom workflows
• 2+ years of engineering team leadership
• 2+ years of senior leadership engagement experience
• 1+ years of ServiceNow Automated Testing Framework
• 1+ year of working with globally dispersed team

Desired Qualifications:

• 2+ years of Agile delivery experience
• 2+ years working with third-party delivery partners
• Ability to foster a collaborative environment by actively participating in requirements and design discussions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a scrum team to design, implement, and support IT solutions to business needs
• Ability to translate business needs to technical solutions
• Ability to perform data analysis and design
• Ability to design data interfaces
