HJF is seeking a Lead Site Coordinator (Remote) to support the Suicide Care, Prevention, and Research Initiative (Suicide CPR Initiative) within the Medical and Clinical Psychology (MPS) department of the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, Maryland. The Lead Site Coordinator will support a research study evaluating a relationship enrichment program that seeks to equip military couples with evidence-informed strategies to adaptively cope with stressors as a unified team. This position is a 1-year project-base role at 20-29 hours a week.
The Lead Site Coordinator is expected lead a team of Site Coordinators, manage participant recruitment and retreat logistics in assigned region, and deliver a sub-clinical intervention to military couples. Additional tasks will include coordination with local military communities and leadership, and regular communication with the USUHS research team via phone, email, and video conference.

Responsibilities:- Develops organizational strategies, create performance metrics, and provide guidance to the research team and Site Coordinators on retreat logistics and execution; Lead team of Site Coordinators, providing guidance, training, and support. Monitor progress, address challenges, and ensure adherence to retreat standards.
- Coordinates relationship enrichment weekend retreats, including organizing retreat logistics and providing on-site support of participants and facilitators during the retreats.
- Supports participant recruitment in assigned region. This includes briefing military personnel, distributing recruitment materials, and supporting dissemination of recruitment materials. Acts as a liaison between the research study and the local military communities and leaders to maintain a positive working relationship and facilitate access to participant populations.
- Delivers a sub-clinical intervention to participants during weekend retreats, ensuring adherence to the curriculum and providing a positive, engaging delivery of the curriculum. Oversee on-site operations throughout the retreat, to include coordinating with participants, vendors, and staff, and addressing any logistical challenges.
- Contributes to fidelity evaluations, to include conducting in-person evaluations of curriculum delivery, and providing remedial training if needed.
- Engages with research participants via phone and email, to include ensuring their compliance with research tasks, providing support and troubleshooting, and maintaining positive relationships with participants. Maintain monthly status reports on participant progress.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for the role.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree required. Doctoral Degree preferred in psychology or similar field
- Minimum of 6-8 years experience required.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Prior experience in delivering relationship education curriculum is required; training and certification in PREP-based relationship education curricula is preferred; must be able to facilitate relationship education curriculum all couples in attendance
- Prior experience in project coordination and/or management is required.
- Must be familiar with military culture and procedures; working knowledge of military communities in assigned region is highly preferred.
- Additional desired qualifications include strong group facilitation skills, communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, organizational and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a T1/Public Trust background check
Physical Capabilities
- Lifting: Requires lifting materials up to 10 lbs.
- Ability to stand or sit at a computer for prolonged periods.
Work Environment
- This position will be remote with moderate travel required.
Compensation:
- The hourly pay range for this position is $42.60-$70.00. Actual salary pay will be determined based on experience, education, etc.
