Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and committed individual to join our team as a Lead Sleep Technician, focusing on daytime operations. This role involves a hybrid set of responsibilities centered on managing all sleep lab operations and supporting our practice. Your primary focus will be overseeing and optimizing processes while contributing to the broader practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Education & Equipment Management:
- Educate patients on the use and care of positive airway pressure devices.
- Dispense equipment at the office or arrange shipping.
- Follow up with patients to ensure adherence to PAP therapy.
Administrative & Support Tasks:
- Document interactions following Medicare compliance standards.
- Manage inventory, including ordering and cleaning processes.
- Collaborate with vendors and build referral source relationships.
- Provide support to our team.
Leadership in Technical Operations:
- Supervise night techs and address operational concerns.
- Conduct technical meetings and manage technician staffing.
- Oversee PSG acquisition and scoring processes, including MSLT execution.
- Maintain PSG supply inventory and troubleshoot technical issues.
Accreditation & Quality Management:
- Develop quarterly QA reports and manage staff training initiatives.
- Maintain records for technical staff credentials and equipment checks.
- Update policies and procedures as needed to comply with AASM accreditation.
HST Program & DME Overflow Support:
- Program and dispense HST devices as scheduled.
- Assist with PAP troubleshooting and scheduling of DME appointments.
- Perform PAP downloads and communicate with external vendors for report retrieval.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of sleep medicine preferred.
- Current RPSGT and OHLA license in polysomnography.
- BCLS certification.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Excellent communication, both verbal and written.
- Strong capability to score sleep studies and provide patient care in clinic and lab environments.
Compensation & Benefits:
Working Conditions: This full-time position entails general daytime office work, with occasional overnight shifts if needed to cover absences.
Salary: $35.00 - $37.00 per hour
Shift: Days (Full-Time)
