Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Lead Software Developer to elevate our cutting-edge insurance web application. This pivotal role involves leading an agile team to develop robust and innovative features that enhance our platform.
Role and Responsibilities
As a Full-Stack Software Developer, you will:
- Write well-designed, unit-testable, secure, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Develop across our technology stack, including front-end, middle-tier API layer, and SQL database on MS Azure.
- Follow product requirements and UX/UI guidelines in Vue.js development.
- Build REST endpoints using C# and .NET Core.
- Contribute code in Entity Framework (EF), LINQ, and SQL queries.
- Write comprehensive unit tests to ensure code quality.
- Commit to project plans, SDLC processes, and adhere to company and industry coding standards.
- Collaborate effectively and communicate professionally with Agile team members and stakeholders.
- Meet or exceed sprint commitments and deliverables.
- Document design deliverables, including flow diagrams and relational models.
- Perform code reviews and provide technical guidance to teammates.
- Assist the manager with team members’ goals and performance reviews.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience:
- 10+ years of experience developing web applications using C#, .NET Core, LINQ, Azure, SQL, EF, and Vue.js (or similar frameworks).
- Proven ability to lead an agile team with a focus on software development excellence and Scrum best practices.
- Extensive experience leading Scrum teams, ensuring adherence to burndowns, story pointing, and other Scrum artifacts.
- Proficient in writing and consuming RESTful API services.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database modeling.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a team-oriented environment.
- Self-managed with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, setting a strong example for the team.
- High accuracy and attention to detail.
Physical Demands
While performing general office duties, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and/or walk around (including using stairs). Other demands include the ability to communicate openly with others, lift light objects (<25 lbs), and use standard office equipment such as computers, printers, and phones. There may be occasional needs to bend, twist, or stoop to open/close cabinets or reach for files.
